‘Carrying the burdens of life’.

Hello once again to this episode of HOW TO LIVE YOUR LIFE FOR CHRIST and this is the episode number 24, and for this episode we are going to reflect upon Carrying the burdens of life’.

------

Every person in the world goes through various difficult moments in life. These difficulties, or so called, burdens of life, can take the form of sickness, being unemployed, family arguments, the death of a family member... and many, many such other examples.

What I have observed through life is, that different people who could be experiencing the same burdens of life, such as a particular sickness, can react differently to such similar situations. I have observed persons who, when faced with sickness, react angrily against God, placing the blame of their suffering on God. Such people carry the burden of their sickness by becoming bitter towards God, losing their inner peace and often ending up living in despair.

On the other hand, I have also observed other people who, when faced with the same kind of sickness are at peace with themselves. These people have accepted their sickness knowing that God is with them, comforting them, loving them and giving them the necessary grace to carry their burden. The secret of these people is that they trust in Jesus, in His love for them, and know that through the Cross, He carries the burdens of their life... their sickness.

What a difference in the way to face suffering!

What do you do, when you are faced with a burden in your life?  Do you offer your burdens to Jesus on the Cross?
