Being in the image of God

Have you ever realised that you are not just something?  You are someone – a person.  You are in the image of God.

Have you ever realised by being in the image of God, you are freely capable of entering into communion with other persons, and have this grace to be in a relationship with your Creator?

Have you ever realised that as a person, you are to offer your Creator a response of faith and love?

God really loves you in a personal way......after all you are the image of God.  Be glad and rejoice for this gift of life.

Hebrews 12:14

Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Reflections:-

Reflect in silence about being in peace.

Are you in peace with everyone?

Do you love all the people you meet with?

Through peace and love, are you being a more holy person?

The Lord Jesus Christ desires and wishes that you be in peace and that you love your neighbor.

By loving and being in peace, through Jesus love, you be a holy person…aim to be a holy person.

Matthew 15:25

Matthew 15:25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

Reflections:-
Do we ask the Lord “Lord, help me!”

Maybe we think we can do without the Lord.

Maybe we need to be like that woman and kneel before him.

Be humble, trust Him, kneel down and ask Him “Lord, help me!”

Monthly Reflection by George Calleja - March 2013 - 'I belong to Him'

What political party do you support?  What football team do you follow?  To whom do you belong to?

Many times we hear these statements and we answer accordingly.  I support ‘that’ political party and follow ‘that’ football team.  But whom do you belong to??

I belong to Him, to Jesus, God’s eternal Son made man, "will save his people from their sins".  The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins.  It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (1)

I belong to Him, and am a witness of His daily love to me.  This daily love which He also gives to you in a personal way.  Have you realized how much He loves you?

I belong to Him, whom do you belong to?
